On the Summit of Mt. Rainier

Tim went from climbing the corporate ladder to climbing the walls.  Summit Climbing Gym is the realization of his dream to build a business that touches people's lives and reflects his personality.  Tim has climbed for over six years and enjoys rock climbing at Eldorado Canyon (CO), climbing 14ers in Colorado and ice climbing.

Now that their three girls are getting older, Amy is extremely fired up to live and breathe the climbing experience and to make everyone leave Summit with a smile on their face.  Her background is in Education and Psychology and she's excited to share  her positive energy with the  team building groups, all the kids and with all the enthusiastic climbers.  She loves Henry James' quote:  "It's time to start living the life you've imagined.".

Doug Pignatelli - General Manager

Ryan Weiche - Head Route Setter

Ryan escapes the student life at the University of North Texas every weekend to help new climbers at Summit Climbing Gym reach their full potential. For Ryan climbing is not only a job but also a way of life.

Like many other people climbing has changed his life for the better and for that reason his aspiration is to give everyone a similar experience. Ryan spends his free time climbing (duh), mountain biking, and dreaming of graduation day. His likes are people with an open outlook and his dislikes are people who say they are afraid of heights, when he really knows that they are just afraid to fall. Lastly, his favorite quote comes from a true legend; Jimi Hendrix who said, " When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know Peace".

HE MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT BE, SOME FORM OF NEW AGED HIPPIE.

Ian coaches the After School Program and is the handyman extraordinaire at Summit.  Ian is a former member of the Summit Climbing Team and has climbed all over the country.  His free spirit and fun loving attitude create a great experience for everyone who comes in to Summit.
